Stay Informed, Stay Safe: School Threats

At the Peninsula School District, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. That’s why we're launching a new video series, “Stay Informed, Stay Safe”, featuring our dedicated School Security Officers (SSOs), Michael Janke and Brent Campbell.

In our first video, our SSOs explain the consequences of making threats—whether in person, over social media, or via text. Even if meant as a joke, threats of violence, including those involving weapons or harm to property, will not be tolerated. This includes all forms of communication, from social media posts to messages sent to teachers or staff.

We urge our students, families, and staff to report any concerns immediately. Our community’s safety depends on our shared commitment to preventing threats and keeping our schools safe.

Key Points to Remember:
  • All threats are taken seriously, even those made in jest.
  • Report concerns through HearMeWA, our anonymous reporting system.
  • Stay connected and informed through our main communication channels: ParentSquare, email, voicemail, and social media.
  • If you see something, say something. Together, we can protect our schools.
